News and notes
The Gazetteer is being revised to include fuller bibliographic references. For the time being, there will be a mix between the old style of presenting bibliographic references to more fuller ones.

The inclusion of any site in this guide does not mean that it is necessarily open to the public or indeed that any visible evidence remains. Permission should always be sought before going on to private land.

The generous help and support provided by Ken Baker for the search engine and Lawrence Keppie and Mike Bishop on Roman military matters is very gratefully acknowledged.
